Ipswich Flood Jan 11-12 2011

January 2011 has seen major floods through SE QLD. These photographs document Ipswich area.

The Bremer River at the One Mile bridge had reached its peak at 2:03am at 21.35m. This photo was taken about 8:24am in front of the Polar Ice on Lobb St Churchill approx 700m from the old One Mile bridge which was inaccessible. The river had dropped by this stage at the One Mile to about 20.9m. Road cut in a number of places with houses stuck on islands - 12 Jan 2011
